Nikkei 225 close on the 20th = rebound for the first time in 5 days, 1,286 yen higher to 49,823 yen
On the 20th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,286.24 yen (2.65%) higher from the previous day to 49,823.94 yen, rebound for the first time in fifth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1239, lost was 329, and unchanged was 41. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 450.58 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 164.45 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 71.20 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 60.17 yen, TDK <6762> at 48.88 yen.
Tokio Marine <8766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 23.11 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nitori <9843> was at 5.97 yen, M3 Inc <2413> was at 4.05 yen, Shiseido <4911> was at 4.01 yen, Mercari <4385> was at 2.39 yen.
By industry, 31 of the 33 industries gained, with only two industries, Insurance Sector and Land Transportation Sector, lost. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Electric Appliances Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Machinery Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Mining Sector.
