On the 19th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 165.28 yen (-0.34%) lower from the previous day to 48,537.70 yen, falling for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 667, lost was 870, and unchanged was 72.
Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 62.17 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 29.41 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 16.71 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 13.94 yen, SONY <6758> was at 12.87 yen.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 28.08 yen. This was followed by AEON <8267> at 11.58 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 8.32 yen, 7&i <3382> at 4.56 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> at 4.31 yen.
By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked first, followed by Retail Trade Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Construction Sector. Machinery Sector, Metal Products Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector were among the top losers.
