On the 23rd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 666.18 yen (-1.35%) lower from the previous day to 48,641.61 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 958, lost was 599, and unchanged was 54. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 223.24 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 171.05 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 101.01 yen, TDK <6762> was at 34.6 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 14.34 yen.

The top positive contributor was Fujikura <5803>, pushing up The Nikkei by 10.44 yen. This was followed by Mitsui Fudosan <8801> at 4.60 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 4.55 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 4.34 yen, Sumitomo Realty & Development <8830> at 3.64 yen.

By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Real Estate Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
