On the 22nd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 8.27 yen (-0.02%) lower from the previous day to 49,307.79 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1264, lost was 303, and unchanged was 44. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 246.47 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 80.81 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 14.48 yen, NEXON <3659> was at 8.42 yen, SCREEN Holdings <7735> was at 7.74 yen.

The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 74.34 yen. This was followed by TDK <6762> at 17.17 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 16.67 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> at 13.64 yen, AEON <8267> at 13.49 yen.

By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked first, followed by Construction Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Retail Trade Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Banks Sector were among the top losers.
