On the 7th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 6.12 yen (0.01%) higher from the previous day to 47,950.88 yen, rising for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 798, lost was 745, and unchanged was 70.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 46.47 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 30.98 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 26.60 yen, KDDI <9433> at 13.74 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 13.13 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 49.29 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 48.49 yen, TDK <6762> was at 15.66 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 14.48 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> was at 8.59 yen.
By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Iron & Steel Sector ranked first, followed by Air Transportation Sector, Rubber Products Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector. Other Financial Business Sector, Retail Trade Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
