The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1239, lost was 319, and unchanged was 55. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 173.74 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 138.39 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 65.15 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 52.53 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 29.60 yen.
RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 14.38 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nitori <9843> was at 5.98 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 4.71 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 4.21 yen, Astellas Pharma <4503> was at 3.62 yen.
By industry, 28 of the 33 industries gained. Electric Appliances Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Power & Gas Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Information & Communication Sector. Mining Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
