On the 30th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 111.12 yen (-0.25%) lower from the previous day to 44,932.63 yen, falling for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 520, lost was 1037, and unchanged was 54. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 133.8 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 71.97 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 28.38 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 14.7 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 10.14 yen.
The top positive contributor was TDK <6762>, pushing up The Nikkei by 24.33 yen. This was followed by KONAMI <9766> at 15.04 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 13.08 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 12.67 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 9.80 yen.
By industry, 13 of the 33 industries gained. Insurance Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector. Mining Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector were among the top losers.
