On the 29th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 311.24 yen (-0.69%) lower from the previous weekend to 45,043.75 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 156, lost was 1440, and unchanged was 15. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.

Recruit Holdings <6098> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 29.07 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 23.3 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> was at 17.42 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> was at 16.8 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 15.4 yen.

The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 182.33 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 39.50 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 19.58 yen, M3 Inc <2413> at 12.93 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 6.42 yen.
