On the 26th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 399.94 yen (-0.87%) lower from the previous day to 45,354.99 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1196, lost was 374, and unchanged was 44. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 151.27 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 148.9 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 119.02 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 31.81 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 24.31 yen.
The top positive contributor was Recruit Holdings <6098>, pushing up The Nikkei by 22.39 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 15.40 yen, FUJIFILM <4901> at 12.97 yen, TERUMO <4543> at 12.83 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 10.80 yen.
By industry, 24 of the 33 industries gained. Real Estate Sector ranked first, followed by Food Products Sector, Construction Sector, and Insurance Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector were among the top losers.
