On the 24th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 136.65 yen (0.30%) higher from the previous business day to 45,630.31 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 730, lost was 820, and unchanged was 64.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 216.77 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 66.35 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 13.67 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 10.80 yen, KDDI <9433> at 9.12 yen.

FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 73.74 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 25.66 yen, TDK <6762> was at 24.82 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 20.56 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> was at 14.86 yen.

By industry, 18 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Other Products Sector, Machinery Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector. Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, Services Sector, and Rubber Products Sector were among the top losers.
