The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 649, lost was 914, and unchanged was 52. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 174.23 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TDK <6762> was at 35.96 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 28.06 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 19.58 yen, SONY <6758> was at 18.91 yen.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 132.36 yen. This was followed by Lasertec <6920> at 28.77 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 24.31 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 15.70 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 12.49 yen.
By industry, 9 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Wholesale Trade Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Other Financial Business Sector. Other Products Sector, Services Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector were among the top losers.
