On the 26th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 413.42 yen (-0.97%) lower from the previous day to 42,394.40 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 385, lost was 1179, and unchanged was 53. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 56.73 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 32.82 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 28.36 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 20.16 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 19.25 yen.
The top positive contributor was TDK <6762>, pushing up The Nikkei by 8.10 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 6.75 yen, TERUMO <4543> at 4.86 yen, Mercari <4385> at 2.55 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 2.03 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries lost, with only one industry gained, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector. Pharmaceuticals Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Electric Power & Gas Sector, Services Sector, Land Transportation Sector, Other Products Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector.
