On the 14th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 625.41 yen (-1.45%) lower from the previous day to 42,649.26 yen, falling for the first time in seventh days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 454, lost was 1107, and unchanged was 58. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 147.22 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 102.92 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 45.89 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 44.06 yen, TDK <6762> was at 31.91 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 132.70 yen. This was followed by NEXON <3659> at 13.84 yen, Nitori <9843> at 6.67 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 5.57 yen, M3 Inc <2413> at 5.19 yen.
By industry, 7 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Power & Gas Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector. Machinery Sector, Wholesale Trade Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector were among the top losers.
