On the 13th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 556.50 yen (1.30%) higher from the previous day to 43,274.67 yen, rising for the sixth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 944, lost was 610, and unchanged was 65. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 163.42 yen. This was followed by Recruit Holdings <6098> at 45.38 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 42.14 yen, TDK <6762> at 38.49 yen, FANUC <6954> at 23.47 yen.
KONAMI <9766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 3.38 yen to The Nikkei. Below, M3 Inc <2413> was at 2.92 yen, Asahi Group <2502> was at 2.79 yen, AEON <8267> was at 2.46 yen, KIKKOMAN <2801> was at 2.36 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Air Transportation Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Services Sector. Mining Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, and Food Products Sector were among the top losers.
