On the 30th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 19.85 yen (-0.05%) lower from the previous day to 40,654.70 yen, falling for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1070, lost was 480, and unchanged was 71. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 46.19 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 31.5 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 29.71 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 12.16 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 11.82 yen.
The top positive contributor was Fujikura <5803>, pushing up The Nikkei by 26.88 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 26.84 yen, CANON <7751> at 10.23 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 7.77 yen, SONY <6758> at 6.25 yen.
By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Textiles & Apparels Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Real Estate Sector. Air Transportation Sector, Services Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector were among the top losers.
