ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 278.22 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 97.24 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 63.82 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 30.79 yen, SCREEN Holdings <7735> was at 16.07 yen.
The top positive contributor was FANUC <6954>, pushing up The Nikkei by 35.62 yen. This was followed by Recruit Holdings <6098> at 23.10 yen, TDK <6762> at 15.45 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 8.91 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 8.10 yen.
By industry, 8 of the 33 industries gained. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked first, followed by Textiles & Apparels Sector, Services Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector. Banks Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
