Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 36.97 yen to The Nikkei. Below, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 22.59 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 16.21 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 11.14 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 10.53 yen.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 64.83 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 43.22 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 12.09 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 10.53 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 10.20 yen.
By industry, 15 of the 33 industries gained. Iron & Steel Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Machinery Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector. Pharmaceuticals Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Other Products Sector were among the top losers.
