The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 48.62 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 20.26 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 9.62 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 6.48 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 5.74 yen.
By industry, 8 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Information & Communication Sector, Food Products Sector, and Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector. Real Estate Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector were among the top losers.
