The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 16.21 yen. This was followed by NITTO DENKO <6988> at 9.79 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> at 9.72 yen, FANUC <6954> at 8.95 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> at 8.81 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 29.17 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KONAMI <9766> was at 10.8 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 10.8 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 9.72 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 9.12 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Other Financial Business Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Machinery Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector were among the top losers.
