The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 72.93 yen. This was followed by TDK <6762> at 24.31 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 14.18 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 13.67 yen, OMRON <6645> at 9.62 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 24.11 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 19.25 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 13.17 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 6.08 yen, MARUI GROUP <8252> was at 5.35 yen.
By industry, 20 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Mining Sector. Pharmaceuticals Sector, Food Products Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
