On the 30th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 336.60 yen (0.84%) higher from the previous weekend to 40,487.39 yen, rising for the fifth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 889, lost was 654, and unchanged was 81.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 86.81 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 27.94 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 22.62 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 18.63 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 16.46 yen.

TERUMO <4543> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 15.3 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SONY <6758> was at 9.98 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> was at 5.65 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> was at 5.29 yen, Hitachi <6501> was at 2.49 yen.

By industry, 28 of the 33 industries gained. Electric Power & Gas Sector ranked first, followed by Information & Communication Sector, Mining Sector, and Other Products Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector were among the top losers.
