The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 87.01 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 79.83 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 15.63 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 13.97 yen, TDK <6762> at 12.22 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 32.73 yen to The Nikkei. Below, OLYMPUS <7733> was at 26.68 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 19.96 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 12.37 yen, SECOM <9735> was at 6.65 yen.
By industry, 13 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Appliances Sector, Chemicals Sector, and Metal Products Sector. Electric Power & Gas Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Pulp & Paper Sector were among the top losers.
