The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 102.45 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 73.24 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 20.46 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 15.37 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 14.37 yen.
M3 Inc <2413> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 7.3 yen to The Nikkei. Below, OLYMPUS <7733> was at 4.59 yen, Trend Micro <4704> was at 4.32 yen, KYOCERA <6971> was at 4.12 yen, 7&i <3382> was at 3.39 yen.
By industry, 22 of the 33 industries gained. Pharmaceuticals Sector ranked first, followed by Other Products Sector, Banks Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector. Pulp & Paper Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Metal Products Sector were among the top losers.
