On the 19th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 255.09 yen (-0.68%) lower from the previous weekend to 37,498.63 yen, falling for the forth days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 826, lost was 748, and unchanged was 55.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 55.08 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 42.31 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 39.91 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 29.94 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 20.29 yen.
The top positive contributor was DAIICHI SANKYO <4568>, pushing up The Nikkei by 24.35 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 12.87 yen, SUZUKI MOTOR <7269> at 5.32 yen, Murata Manufacturing <6981> at 4.47 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 3.74 yen.
By industry, 15 of the 33 industries gained. Pharmaceuticals Sector ranked first, followed by Air Transportation Sector, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, and Real Estate Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Insurance Sector were among the top losers.
