The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 110.76 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 67.06 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 63.96 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 35.92 yen, FANUC <6954> at 34.26 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 40.45 yen to The Nikkei. Below, KDDI <9433> was at 26.94 yen, SECOM <9735> was at 15.63 yen, Nitori <9843> was at 13.64 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 10.41 yen.
By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Marine Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Pharmaceuticals Sector, Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, and Other Products Sector. Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, Construction Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector were among the top losers.
