The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1279, lost was 311, and unchanged was 42. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was FAST RETAILING <9983>, pushing up The Nikkei by 100.58 yen. This was followed by NTT DATA <9613> at 82.82 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 36.12 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> at 28.74 yen, TDK <6762> at 25.45 yen.
DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 30.27 yen to The Nikkei. Below, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 9.28 yen, OMRON <6645> was at 7.68 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 6.65 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 5.99 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Insurance Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector. Machinery Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Other Products Sector were among the top losers.
