The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1180, lost was 399, and unchanged was 54. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 50.29 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 33.13 yen, TDK <6762> at 23.20 yen, TERUMO <4543> at 22.49 yen, FANUC <6954> at 17.30 yen.
KDDI <9433> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 5.79 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nitori <9843> was at 5.07 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 4.79 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 2.39 yen, Kao <4452> was at 2.1 yen.
By industry, 31 of the 33 industries gained, with only two industries, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector and Warehousing & Harbor Transportation Service Sector, lost. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Insurance Sector, Banks Sector, Mining Sector, Other Products Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector.
