On the 9th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,298.55 yen (-3.93%) lower from the previous day to 31,714.03 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 148, lost was 1470, and unchanged was 16. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 116.82 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 112.76 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 95 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 94.2 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 39.42 yen.

The top positive contributor was Nitori <9843>, pushing up The Nikkei by 2.33 yen. This was followed by KDDI <9433> at 2.00 yen, Japan Steel Works <5631> at 1.19 yen, AEON <8267> at 1.06 yen, NIKON <7731> at 0.60 yen.

By industry, all 33 industries were losers. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Insurance Sector, Mining Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Banks Sector.
