On the 12th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 25.98 yen (0.07%) higher from the previous day to 36,819.09 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1152, lost was 430, and unchanged was 53. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

The top positive contributor was SONY <6758>, pushing up The Nikkei by 20.06 yen. This was followed by TERUMO <4543> at 15.91 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 15.09 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 10.19 yen, Tokio Marine <8766> at 7.35 yen.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 96.8 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 12.63 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 10.65 yen, SUBARU <7270> was at 4.44 yen, YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC <6841> was at 4.21 yen.

By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Insurance Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Real Estate Sector were among the top losers.
