On the 10th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 141.10 yen (0.38%) higher from the previous weekend to 37,028.27 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 653, lost was 928, and unchanged was 54. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 73.92 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 35.51 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 22.49 yen, FANUC <6954> at 18.41 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 18.15 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 30.19 yen to The Nikkei. Below, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 25.25 yen, SONY <6758> was at 18.25 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 10.85 yen, RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> was at 10.39 yen.
By industry, 14 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Services Sector. Other Products Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Banks Sector were among the top losers.
