The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1221, lost was 381, and unchanged was 34. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 20.72 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 13.81 yen, TDK <6762> at 10.85 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 10.00 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 9.70 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 45.51 yen to The Nikkei. Below, 7&i <3382> was at 27.67 yen, CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was at 20.72 yen, M3 Inc <2413> was at 8.17 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 4.44 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Insurance Sector, Transportation Equipment Sector, and Other Products Sector. Retail Trade Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector were among the top losers.
