Nikkei 225 close on the 19th = falling for the first time in 3 days, 105 yen lower to 39,164 yen

On the 19th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 105.79 yen (-0.27%) lower from the previous day to 39,164.61 yen, falling for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 595, lost was 992, and unchanged was 50. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 93.22 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 36.89 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 15.26 yen, FUJIFILM <4901> was at 14.9 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 12.82 yen.

The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 87.30 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 25.52 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 10.19 yen, Shiseido <4911> at 10.13 yen, SCREEN Holdings <7735> at 9.47 yen.

By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Pulp & Paper Sector ranked first, followed by Metal Products Sector, Other Products Sector, and Glass & Ceramics Products Sector. Precision Instruments Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Wholesale Trade Sector were among the top losers.
