Nikkei 225 close on the 14th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 312 yen lower to 39,149 yen

On the 14th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 312.04 yen (-0.79%) lower from the previous day to 39,149.43 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 472, lost was 1114, and unchanged was 51. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 69.25 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 51.79 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 34.99 yen, Otsuka <4578> was at 26.17 yen, TDK <6762> was at 21.46 yen.

The top positive contributor was SONY <6758>, pushing up The Nikkei by 48.50 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 26.24 yen, Trend Micro <4704> at 24.17 yen, KYOCERA <6971> at 10.92 yen, TOPPAN Holdings <7911> at 10.39 yen.

By industry, 6 of the 33 industries gained. Oil & Coal Products Sector ranked first, followed by Electric Appliances Sector, Other Products Sector, and Banks Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector were among the top losers.
