The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 77.60 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 71.02 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 61.26 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 22.72 yen, M3 Inc <2413> at 21.15 yen.
DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 19.53 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 16.77 yen, KURARAY <3405> was at 10.79 yen, SONY <6758> was at 9.37 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 8.88 yen.
By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Glass & Ceramics Products Sector. Textiles & Apparels Sector, Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, and Pharmaceuticals Sector were among the top losers.
