Nikkei 225 close on the 3rd = falling for the first time in 4 days, 1,052 yen lower to 38,520 yen
On the 3rd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,052.40 yen (-2.66%) lower from the previous weekend to 38,520.09 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 153, lost was 1469, and unchanged was 15. The percentage of declining stocks exceeded 80%.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 162.47 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 94.44 yen, TDK <6762> was at 83.11 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 50.64 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 44.88 yen.
The top positive contributor was KONAMI <9766>, pushing up The Nikkei by 66.58 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 8.68 yen, ZOZO <3092> at 6.94 yen, Sumitomo Pharma <4506> at 3.29 yen, ALPSALPINE <6770> at 2.58 yen.
By industry, 32 of the 33 industries lost, with only one industry gained, Information & Communication Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked as a top loser, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Pulp & Paper Sector, Machinery Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Glass & Ceramics Products Sector.
