On the 27th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 366.18 yen (-0.92%) lower from the previous weekend to 39,565.80 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1278, lost was 323, and unchanged was 37. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 227.54 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 173.42 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 131.2 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 25.58 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 18.74 yen.
The top positive contributor was KDDI <9433>, pushing up The Nikkei by 46.17 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 24.86 yen, NITTO DENKO <6988> at 10.93 yen, FUJIFILM <4901> at 8.58 yen, OLYMPUS <7733> at 7.69 yen.
By industry, 28 of the 33 industries gained. Real Estate Sector ranked first, followed by Rubber Products Sector, Land Transportation Sector, and Iron & Steel Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, and Machinery Sector were among the top losers.
