The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 353, lost was 1244, and unchanged was 44. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 201.53 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 36.5 yen, TDK <6762> was at 36.25 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 29.2 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> was at 22.19 yen.

The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 27.36 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 17.26 yen, SUZUKI MOTOR <7269> at 12.17 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 9.67 yen, HONDA MOTOR <7267> at 8.58 yen.

By industry, 5 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Marine Transportation Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Banks Sector. Transportation Equipment Sector, Retail Trade Sector, and Services Sector were among the top losers.
