Earnings ReportNew Japan Chemical Co., Ltd. <4406> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 14th (15:40). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 dropped by 54.2% from the previous period to 547 million yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the consolidated ordinary profit is expected to recover to 46.3% to 800 million yen.
At the same time, the company increased the annual dividend for the previous term from 4 yen to 4.5 yen (compared to 4 yen in the prior term), and has decided to continue with a dividend of 4.5 yen for the current term as well.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated ordinary profit dropped to 219 million yen, a 40.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 2.0% in the same period last year to 1.7%.
