Furukawa Electric, 32% Increase in Ordinary Profit, Update Record High for Second Consecutive Term, Increased Previous Year's Dividend by 50 Yen, This Fiscal Year to Increase Dividend

Earnings ReportFurukawa Electric Co., Ltd. <5801> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on May 12th (14:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ended March 2026 increased by 56.4% from the previous period to 75.8 billion yen, exceeding the previous forecast of 65.0 billion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the consolidated ordinary profit is expected to expand to 31.8% to 100 billion yen, marking the second consecutive term of record-high profits. This will be the third consecutive term of revenue and profit growth.
At the same time, the company increased the annual dividend for the previous term from 160 yen to 210 yen (compared to 120 yen in the prior term), and the annual dividend for this fiscal year is 22 yen, taking into account the forward stock split scheduled to be allocated on June 30, this dividend represents an actual increase of 4.8%.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 2.8 times that of the same period last year, reaching 35.1 billion yen. The operating profit margin significantly improved from 4.9% in the same period last year to 8.0%.
