MS&AD Insurance, Ordinary Profit Forecast for Last Fiscal Year Revised Upward to an Unexpected 21% Increase, Raises Record High Profit

Guidance Update ReportMS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. <8725> [TSE Prime] announced a performance revision after the market closed on May 11th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026 has been revised upward 34.3%, from the previous forecast of 0.83 trillion yen to 1.12 trillion yen (compared to 0.92 trillion yen in the previous period), record profits reach three consecutive terms, turning to a 20.6% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the upwardly revised full-year plan announced by the company, our calculation indicates that the October to March period (second half) consolidated ordinary profit is expected to increase 2.6 times, from the previous forecast of 0.18 trillion yen to 0.46 trillion yen (compared to 0.29 trillion yen in the same period of the previous year), turning to a 56.5% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
