MARUSAN-AI, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward to an Unexpected 13% Increase

The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending September 2026 (October 2025 to March 2026) expanded 591 million yen, an increase 62.4% compared to the same period last year, resulting in an increase in profits compared to the previous forecast of an 85.7% decrease.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 2.4 times, from the previous forecast of 408 million yen to 973 million yen (compared to 858 million yen in the previous period), turning to a 13.4% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the April to September period (second half) is expected to decrease 22.7% from the same period last year to 382 million yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit/loss turned to a profit of 86 million yen (compared to a loss of 150 million yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin improved from -1.2% in the same period last year to 0.5%.
