Earnings ReportSUMITOMO CORPORATION <8053> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on May 1st (13:00). The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ended March 2026 increased by 6.8% from the previous period to 600 billion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the consolidated net income is expected to grow by 4.9% to 630 billion yen, marking the second consecutive term of record-high profits. This will be the third consecutive term of profit growth.
At the same time, the company increased the annual dividend for the previous term from 140 yen to 150 yen (compared to 130 yen in the prior term), and the annual dividend for this fiscal year is 40 yen, taking into account the forward stock split scheduled to be allocated on June 30, this dividend represents an actual increase of 6.7%.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated net income increased 32.0% from the same period last year, reaching 191 billion yen.
