Earnings ReportRYOHIN KEIKAKU CO.,LTD. <7453> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on April 10th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending August 2026 (September 2025 to February 2026) expanded 46.8 billion yen, an increase 35.5% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 15.8%, from the previous forecast of 76.0 billion yen to 88.0 billion yen (compared to 72.3 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 5.1% to 21.7%, further surpassing the previous forecast of record-high profits for three consecutive terms.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the March to August period (second half) is expected to grow 9.0% from the same period last year, reaching 41.1 billion yen.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 28 yen to 32 yen (compared to 50 yen before the 2-for-1 forward stock split in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from December to February (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit increased 33.5% from the same period last year, reaching 17.7 billion yen. The operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 7.7% in the same period last year to 7.9%.
