Earnings ReportSYSMEX CORPORATION <6869> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) after the market closed on February 12th (15:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) decreased 20.9% from the same period last year to 33.6 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has decreased 8.9%, from the previous forecast of 45.0 billion yen to 41.0 billion yen (compared to 53.6 billion yen in the previous period), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 16.2% to 23.6%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the downward revision, our estimate of the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) has decreased 15.4%, from the previous forecast of 25.9 billion yen to 21.9 billion yen (compared to 27.6 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), leading to an increase in the profit decline rate from 6.1% to 20.6%.
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated net income decreased to 14.6 billion yen, an 11.7% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin significantly dropped from 18.4% in the same period last year to 12.2%.
