Japan Engine, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 8%, Raises Record High Profit Forecast, Dividend Revised Upward by 6 Yen

Earnings ReportJapan Engine Corporation <6016> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 10th (15:30). The ordinary profit (non-consolidated) for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) increased 13.7% from the same period last year, reaching 5.36 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for ordinary profit has been revised upward 8.0%, from the previous forecast of 5.85 billion yen to 6.32 billion yen (compared to 5.42 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 7.9% to 16.6%, further surpassing the previous forecast of record-high profits for three consecutive terms.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to increase 20.3%, from the previous forecast of 2.31 billion yen to 2.78 billion yen (compared to 2.17 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 6.1% to 27.6%.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 80 yen to 86 yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the ordinary profit grew 23.7% from the same period last year, reaching 1.82 billion yen. However, the operating profit margin decreased from 15.9% in the same period last year to 15.5%.
