OTEC, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward to an Unexpected 14% Increase, Raises Record High Profit, Dividend Revised Upward by 17 Yen

Earnings ReportOTEC CORPORATION <1736> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 9th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) expanded 3.14 billion yen, an increase 40.0% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 14.3%, from the previous forecast of 4.20 billion yen to 4.80 billion yen (compared to 4.22 billion yen in the previous period), record profits reach two consecutive terms, turning to a 13.7% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) has been revised upward 25.8%, from the previous forecast of 2.32 billion yen to 2.92 billion yen (compared to 3.40 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 31.8% to 14.2%.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 58 yen to 75 yen (compared to 170 yen before the 3-for-1 forward stock split in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 1.27 billion yen, an 11.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 15.6% in the same period last year to 13.9%.
