Earnings ReportJAPAN ELECTRONIC MATERIALS CORPORATION <6855> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 6th (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) expanded 4.89 billion yen, an increase 66.5% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 37.8%, from the previous forecast of 4.50 billion yen to 6.20 billion yen (compared to 4.64 billion yen in the previous period), reaches new record high for the first time in four terms, turning to a 33.6% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to increase 82.8%, from the previous forecast of 2.05 billion yen to 3.75 billion yen (compared to 2.64 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), turning to a 41.9% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
In light of the strong performance, the company has significantly increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 60 yen to 80 yen (compared to 70 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 2.6 times that of the same period last year, reaching 2.44 billion yen. The operating profit margin jumped from 16.0% in the same period last year to 28.4%.
