Earnings ReportJFE Holdings,Inc. <5411> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on February 5th (14:00). The consolidated net income for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) dropped 39.2% from the same period last year to 60.8 billion yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 75.0 billion yen was 81.2%, below the five-year average of 89.4%.
Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income/loss for the January to March period (4Q) is expected to turn into a profit of 14.1 billion yen (compared to a loss of 8.23 billion yen in the same period last year).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated net income dropped to 34.2 billion yen, a 40.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.1% in the same period last year to 4.5%.
