The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) decreased 26.7% from the same period last year to 0.71 billion yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 2.50 billion yen was 28.5%, also falling below the five-year average of 69.7%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to surge 2.1 times that of the same period last year, reaching 1.78 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 2.6 times that of the same period last year, reaching 0.45 billion yen. The operating profit margin significantly improved from 2.4% in the same period last year to 7.0%.
