SUBARU, First Half Net Income Decreases by 45%

Earnings ReportSUBARU CORPORATION <7270> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on November 10th (13:30). The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) dropped 44.5% from the same period last year to 90.4 billion yen. Progress toward the full-year plan of 160 billion yen was 56.5%, also surpassing the five-year average of 44.2%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) is expected to significant drop 60.2% from the same period last year to 69.5 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated net income significantly dropped to 35.5 billion yen, a 55.0% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin sharply declined from 11.1% in the same period last year to 2.2%.
